Glenwood Sweeps Creston

A twenty-three point first quarter gave the Rams a 23-11 lead against the Creston Panthers. Junior Christian Stanislav had a great first half as the Rams took the lead into halftime 43-25. Stanislav ended the first half with seventeen points. Creston’s Kylan Smallwood tried to bring the Panthers back in the third quarter but the Rams held on to their 64-45 lead after three quarters. Christian Stanislav ended the third with twenty-three points for the Rams while Kylan Smallwood finished the third with twenty-seven. Andrew Blum found his shot late to help the Rams close out the victory 87-68 over the Panthers.

 

Christian Stanislav was awarded the player of the game after scoring twenty-five points for the Rams. Andrew Blum was the second leading scorer for Glenwood with twenty-four. The leading scorer and player of the game for Creston went to Kylan Smallwood. Smallwood finished with thirty-three points for the Panthers.

 

Glenwood moved to 15-2 on the season.

 

The Glenwood girls traveled to Creston with a match-up against the Panthers. Glenwood lead Creston by seven at halftime 20-13. A buzzer three pointer cut Glenwood’s lead down to ten 36-26 at the end of three. The Rams would pour on nineteen points in the fourth quarter to get the win 55-45 over Creston on the road. Elle Scarborough was awarded the player of the game for Glenwood. The Freshman Scarborough finished the game with nineteen points.

Next up for both the girls and boys will be Harlan on Friday night. The Rams will travel up to Harlan for a match-up against the Cyclones.
