Glenwood vs. Winterset Preview

Tomorrow the 5-2 Rams will travel on the road to battle fellow District 7 opponent Winterset. Winterset is 2-5 on the season but are coming off a big win over Harlan on the road 47-21. Noah Larson is the quarterback and has thrown for six touchdowns while rushing for three. Brad Benshoof is their leading rusher on the season with six touchdowns on 120 carries. Benshoof has rushed for 836 yards with his longest going for thirty two yards. Tyler Van Pelt has caught the most touchdowns on the season with three and is the second leading receiver with 167 yards.

The Rams need to watch out for Van Pelt on defense as he leads the team with 67 total tackles. Winterset's defense have caused thirteen turnovers on the season with nine being interceptions. On special teams the returner to watch out for is Brad Benshoof. Benshoof has 352 kick return yards on the season and averages 27 yards per return.

Tomorrow's game is huge for the Rams. Glenwood needs to win out and beat their opponents by a decent margin to find a spot in the playoffs depending on what other teams do. Glenwood can't take Winterset lightly as they are coming off their biggest win of the season and will be fired up when the Rams come to town.

I have confidence that Coach Faust will have his team ready to go and the Rams will be ready to play. Look for Glenwood's balanced attack to cause Winterset trouble and the Rams win by a couple of touchdowns.

Good luck boys! GO RAMS!
