Glenwood girls basketball continued its season with two more games this past week. Tuesday night, the Lady Rams trailed Abraham Lincoln headed into halftime, but dominated the third quarter en route to their first victory of the year, with a final score of 64-55. Sophomore Elle Scarborough had a fantastic night, dropping 24 points and grabbing 11 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. Senior Brooklyn Taylor also posted double digits, finishing with 10 points and four assists on the night.
The Lady Rams carried their momentum into a conference battle with Creston Friday night. A game that saw a lot of loose balls and fouls, the scrappy Glenwood squad jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, winning 67-52. Senior Brielle Smith earned player of the game honors, after recording 15 points, eight rebounds and seven steals. Freshman Madison Camden also had an impressive night, scoring 16 points while having a perfect game at the foul line.
The Lady Rams will travel to Council Bluffs to take on Hawkeye Ten juggernaut Lewis Central Tuesday night. Following their contest with the Titans, Glenwood will take on Saint Albert at home Saturday.
