Rams Get Back on Track with Two Dominating Wins

The Glenwood boys basketball team got back to its winning ways over the last two games. After starting 3-2 and coming off a frustrating loss in Atlantic a week ago, Glenwood returned home for a battle with Hawkeye Ten foe Denison. The Monarchs entered the game flying high with upsets over Lewis Central, Carroll and Harlan, but ultimately could not handle Glenwood's merciless press and fast-paced offense. The Rams were victorious by a score of 68-45. Junior guard Zach Carr was pheonominal all night, driving the lane and making contested layups while dishing some impressive passes to fellow teammates. Carr finished with 24 points (18 in the first half), eight assists and three steals. Christian Stanislav continued his scoring barrage, dropping 23 points on 9/13 from the field. Ryan Blum rounded out Glenwood's balanced scoring attack with 14 points while grabbing eight rebounds. (This game did not count toward conference record)

Last night, the Rams hosted a winless Red Oak team. Glenwood overpowered the Tigers from the tip, running up and down the floor and wreaking havoc with their full court press. The Rams dominated from start to finish, winning 70-35. Stanislav remained consistent, leading the way with 21 points to go along with four rebounds and three steals. Carr wasn't far behind with 19 points and six assists. Blum once again had a solid all-around outing, finishing with nine points, six boards and five assists. (This game did not count toward conference record)

Next up for the Rams is a road trip to Clarinda where they'll take on a 4-4 Cardinals team.
