Rams Sweep Clarinda on the Road

Last night Glenwood traveled to Clarinda and took on the Cardinals. Both the softball and baseball teams defeated Clarinda.

 

The baseball team got off to a hot start by scoring six runs in the first inning. Clarinda would score two in the first and five in the second to take the lead 7-6 heading into the third inning. The Rams would not allow another run and they would score seven runs in the last four innings to win 13-7. Mavrick Decker had the hot bat as he went 3-4 at the plate. Decker along with AJ Slaughter, Jake King and Eli Bales drove in two runs a piece. Ethan Fisher was awarded the win. Fisher pitched two innings giving up zero hits and zero runs.

Ram Baseball is now 5-3 on the season and will go back on the road tonight against Shenandoah. Good luck Rams!

 

 

 

The Ram Softball team is now 8-2 after their impressive 18-5 win over the Cardinals last night. Sydney Biermann pitched another great game by going the full five innings of play (ten run rule). Biermann recorded eight strikeouts on the night. Sophomore Brielle Smith had a great night at the plate. Smith hit two homeruns in Clarinda to help the Rams win once again in five innings. Next up for the Rams will be Shenandoah tonight on the road.

 

The JV also won in five innings over the Cardinals. Glenwood defeated Clarinda 15-2.
