Last week, the boys and girls cross country teams traveled to Fort Dodge to run in the state meet. Glenwood senior Janette Schraft was crowned individual champion in the girls 3A division, winning the race by over eight seconds and taking home her first state title. Schraft’s performance helped lift the Lady Rams to a third place finish as a team, its best in school history. Following Schraft was Lacey Jackson in 21st, Abby McIntyre 30th, Erin Schultz 56th, Lauren Becker 63rd and Aubrey McIntyre 68th.

The Glenwood boys were led by Sam McIntyre, who placed 64th. Seniors Parson Covington and Mason Parks bested their finishes at last year’s state meet, taking 70th and 71st, respectively. The boys ended up 14th as a team.
