Behind a great front line the Titans defeated the Rams 3-0 last night in a Hawkeye Ten match-up. Lewis Central won 25-12, 25-17 and 25-19. The combination of Megan Witte and Katherine Poore were dominant throughout the match for the Titans. Poore is committed to Bradley and Witte who is just a sophomore were awarded the player of the games.
Glenwood’s sophomore Kendall Bardsley lead the Rams in kills with six while sophomore Erin Stanley was second with five. Sierra Stouder and Cera Gray both were one-hundred percent on their serves. Junior Paige Hays lead the team in blocks with three (two solo).
Despite getting swept by the Titans I was impressed by the Rams. They improved throughout the entire match and never gave up against the tough Titan team. The Rams will travel to Council Bluffs on Saturday for a tournament before coming back home on the sixteenth for their last regular season match.
Senior night will be a tough one in Glenwood but the match will once again give the Rams great experience heading into postseason play. Kuemper has only lost two matches all year (one against Sioux Falls Christian and one against Sioux Center) and will look to end their season undefeated in the Hawkeye Ten.
Good luck girls!
GO RAMS!
