Glenwood Boys Tennis is now 7-0 this season after defeating Shenandoah 9-0. Alex Chekal, Sam Lauritsen and Adam Konfrst continued their undefeated streaks in singles. Senior Sam Lauritsen had an unbelievable comeback after being down 9-6, Sam rallied off five straight games to defeat Alex Goodell 11-9. Kris Mintle, Carter Benson and Josh Ruth won 10-4, 10-3, 10-3 at the four, five and six positions for Glenwood.

Friday the girls tennis team swept Atlantic 9-0 to make their overall record now 6-0. Glenwood won sixty four out of the seventy two games played. The Rams look impressive heading into their biggest week of the season thus far.

 

Tomorrow (Tuesday April 25th) the Rams will host the undefeated Shenandoah Fillies. The Fillies have won every meet this season 9-0 or 8-1. Monday the Fillies host Southwest Valley. If Shenandoah defeats S.W.V. they will also have a 6-0 record on the line Tuesday against the Rams.

 

Kansas Relays Give Great Experience to Rams

“The Kansas Relays were a good experience for the girls. There was great competition with the best athletes from several different states competing. No girls events placed in the top half of the field, but there was still plenty of positive throughout the weekend.” said Coach Faust

Ram Soccer Knocks Off Kuemper

Glenwood defeated Carroll Kuemper on the road 3-1 yesterday. The Rams scored their first goal (4:19) after Cole Fuoss's throw in assisted the goal by Jon Tallmon. Nach Vadillo scored the second goal at 21:29 in the first half. Glenwood's final goal was scored by John Palmer assisted by Turner Reich at 33:35. The Rams are now 4-4 on the season and 2-2 in the conference.
