Girls Team Tennis Sweeps the Field Saturday at Team Regional

Saturday the girls tennis team traveled to Atlantic for the first two rounds of post season team dual competition. The girls dominated the field and advanced to the team regional final this Saturday at Atlantic vs. Denison. If the undefeated Rams can defeat (10-1) Denison they will qualify for Team State for the second season in a row and be apart of the final eight teams.

Glenwood Ram Track has qualified for the IAHSAA Championship Meet that will be held at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa. State will begin on Thursday the 17th and run until Saturday the 19th. Below are the dates and times Glenwood Rams will compete at the state meet.

Coach Benson’s Recap:

Lewis Central controlled the game pretty early with good ball control and possession.  They were able to score their first goal right before the 20th minute into the match. They got another goal about 5 minutes later making it 0-2 at halftime.

In the 2nd half, Lewis Central continued to control much of the game and were able to find the goal 3 more times.

Leath Wins Second H-10 Tournament as Boys Team Finished Third, Girls Fifth at Conference Championships

Junior Ryan Leath was crowned the Boys Golf Hawkeye Ten Champion Today for the second time in three years. Leath scored a 69 on eighteen holes and won the tournament in a playoff hole. Glenwood finished third as a team with a score of 303. Atlantic won the tournament with a 295 while Kuemper finished second with a 299.

Glenwood Golf Breaks Team/Individual Ram Records as Kuemper Wins Trojan Invite After Fifth Score Tiebreaker

Yesterday Ram Golf traveled to Atlantic, Iowa for the Trojan Invite. Glenwood finished in a first place tie with Carroll Kuemper with an impressive 298 but Carrol Kuemper would win the Tournament after a 5th Score Tiebreaker. Glenwood’s Eli Bales finished second overall with a 72 on the day. Colton Book’s 73 earned him 4th place individually. Coach Joyner was proud of his team as they broke all four possible team/individual records at Nishna Hills for a Ram Team/ Ram Individual.  

 

Three Individual Conference Titles and Two Second Place Team Finishes For Ram Tennis at H-10 Conference Tournament

Monday the girls and boys tennis teams traveled to a great facility in Omaha, Nebraska for the Hawkeye Ten Tennis Tournament. The tournament was held at Tranquility Park where they have twenty five courts in one area. Eleven teams in competed in four brackets for both the girls and boys divisions.

Girls Golf Wins Heartland Christian Golf Invite By Twenty-Nine Strokes

Wednesday the girls golf team traveled to Council Bluffs, Iowa to compete in the Heartland Christian Golf Invite. The 18 hole tournament was located at Fox Run Golf Course. Glenwood played well as a team and won the tournament that included nine teams. The Rams shot a 409. Abraham Lincoln finished second with a 438 while East Mills placed third with a 445.

Glenwood’s Garrett Reich finished third individually with a 100. Way to go girls! GO RAMS!!!
