Ram Volleyball Results from Trojan Tournament

Saturday the Rams traveled to Atlantic for the Trojan Tournament. St. Albert was crowned champions after going 5-0 and defeating Atlantic, Winterset, Glenwood, Treynor, and Underwood. The Rams finished the tournament with a record of 2-3.  The Rams are now 6-10 overall and 1-1 in the conference.

Ram XC Crowned Champs at L.C. Invite

Saturday the Rams traveled to Council Bluffs for the L.C. Cross Country Invite. The girls cross country team won the invite with 53 total points! This win for the girls was the first time in five years since the girls have won a cross country meet. Way to go girls! The Rams placed for individuals in the top ten. Aubrey McIntyre was the high finisher for the Rams with a time of 20:41.86 and finished sixth. The boys finished second behind Plattsmouth. Parson Covington was the highest finisher for the Rams with a time of 17:28.71.

Carroll Gives Glenwood First Loss

Friday night the ranked Carroll Tigers came to town and defeated the Rams 21-12. Turnovers were key in Carroll's win over the Rams. Glenwood turned the ball over four times (three interceptions and 1 fumble). The game's first score was the most exciting of the night when Senior Mavrick Decker took a punt back 85 yards to put the Rams up 6-0. The Tigers took the lead  7-6 just before halftime behind a one yard run by Rummel. The Rams came out strong in the second half and took the lead back 12-7 after a Jake Clark touchdown from Wilwerding.

Carroll vs. Glenwood Football Preview

It's week three of Friday night lights and the Rams are going up against a top 10 ranked team in Carroll. Carroll is 2-0 on the season so far with wins against South Central Calhoun 56-20 and Sioux City Bishop Heelan 23-20. The tigers are lead by Kolby Molinsky who is the quarterback. Molinsky has thrown for 329 yards on the season and three touchdowns. He has also rushed for a touchdown. Carroll has two good athletes in their backfield with Dayton Ross and Ethan Rummel. Ross has 217 yards on the season with two touchdowns on 8 yards a carry.
