Ram Golf Finishes Third at Trojan Invite

Yesterday the boys golf team traveled to Atlantic for the Trojan Invite. The Rams shot 315 as a team and finished third place at the tournament. Kobe Rhodes was the runner up at the tournament shooting a 73 (+4).  Colton B shot a 78, Reagan M shot a 81, Eli B shot a 88, Ryan L shot a 87, and Nick S shot a 88. Colton Book's 78 was his career low!

The Rams score of 315 set a team record score at Nisha Hills (where the tournament was located). the previous course record for Glenwood was 332. Way to go boys, keep up the great work! GO RAMS!

Ram Tennis Wins 10th Straight, End H-10 Regular Season Undefeated

Last night the boys tennis team traveled to Council Bluffs and took on the St. Albert Falcons for their last Hawkeye Ten regular season meet of the season. Glenwood won the match 6-3 over the Falcons. Senior Ethan Thompson was the player of the match by winning his singles and doubles 8-1, 8-2. Ethan is undefeated in singles on the season and is playing great with his doubles partner Sean Harper. Both Aaron Bertini and Adam Konfrst won their singles 8-1 and continued their undefeated streak in singles play.

Girls Tennis Singles Help Pick up Big Win over St. Albert

The girls tennis team picked up their seventh win last night over St. Albert. Glenwood won four singles and two doubles to win the match 6-3 over St. Albert. The girls are now 7-2 on the season. Junior Abby Osterloh played a great match at the number one singles and won 8-5 vs. Ava Pavlik. Ellie Osterloh, Ruby Crow, and Brooklyn Taylor also won their singles. The doubles teams of Ellie Osterloh/Brooklyn Taylor and Ruby Crow/Sierra Stouder both won their doubles matches. Congratulations girls on a great win! Keep it up, GO RAMS!

Last night the boys and girls track teams swept the 2016 Trojan Relays at Atlantic. The girls won the meet by scoring 80 total points. The boys won the meet by scoring 113 total points.

Ram Tennis Defeats Clarinda to Pick Up 9th Straight Win

Glenwood boys tennis defeated Clarinda on the road to pick up their ninth straight win of the season. Glenwood won 8-1 overall and are now 9-0 on the regular season.  Senior Aaron Bertini was the player of the match by winning both his singles and doubles 10-0. Aaron is currently 18-0 (singles and doubles) on the season along with sophomore Adam Konfrst. Alex Chekal continued his undefeated season at number two singles with a 10-2 win over Dallas Latham.

Below is Ram Golf Coach Joyner's recap on their win vs. Clarinda.

"Glenwood traveled to Clarinda to take on the Cardinals at Clarinda Country Club in a 9-hole dual. The Rams came out victorious 143-151 on the night! Our score was the best by a Glenwood team at Clarinda by 12 strokes! Carlton Rahn (Clarinda) was the medalist after winning a playoff from Ryan Leath (Glenwood). They both shot a 34."

Girls Tennis Picks Up Huge Win vs. Clarinda

The girls tennis team picked up their sixth win on the season with a huge win over Clarinda 5-4. After singles the girls were up 4-2 before winning number three doubles to win the meet 5-4. Congratulations to Emily Todd who won her first varsity match 8-4. The doubles team of Ruby Crow and Sierra Stouder picked up the win in doubles 8-2.

Ram Track Takes Second at Red Oak Relays

Last Friday the boys track team competed in the Red Oak Relays. The boys finished second at the relays with 79 total points. Thomas Jefferson won the meet with 99 total points.

Key Finishes for the Rams

Seth Little finished second place in the 400 with a time of 53.64. Blaine Clark finished first place with a time of 15.34. Mason Parks finished third in the 1600 with a time of 5:08.35. Aaron Bertini finished second in the high jump with a jump of 5-08.00. The shuttle hurdle relay team for Glenwood finished second with a time of 1:10.66. 

Dean, Rams Run Well at Drake Relays

This weekend the boys and girls track teams competed at the Drake Relays. Molly Dean was the highest finishing Ram on the weekend. Dean finished 4th place in the 400 hurdles with a time of 63.22. Molly's time broke the school record which she had set earlier in the season. Molly Dean also ran the 100 hurdles. She finished 16th out of 32 with a time of 15.72. Linnaea Konfrst competed in both the shot put and discus. Konfrst would finish 8th in the shot put and 11th in the discus. 

Four Straight Shut Outs Puts Ram Tennis at 8-0

The Shenandoah Mustangs came into town last night for a Hawkeye Ten match-up. Last year the Mustangs defeated the Rams 6-3 on the road. This year the boys wanted revenge and they got it. The boys dominated the Mustangs and won 9-0 before the rain started to fall. Junior Sam Lauritsen is peaking at the right time and picked up another great win at the number one spot in singles. Lauritsen defeated Dalton Stoaks 10-5 in a tough match-up. Alex Chekal, Aaron Bertini, Adam Konfrst and Ethan Thompson all stayed undefeated in singles for the season (8-0).
