Last night the boys and girls traveled to Clarinda for their first games of the 2017 season. The Rams split at Clarinda with the boys winning and the girls losing. Girls Varsity lost 47-48 in a game that went back and forth the entire game. Glenwood won the second half by four but the early lead for the Cardinals was too much for the Rams. Hardcastle and Smith were the leading scorers for the Rams with 12 a piece while Schuppan was second in scoring with 11. Boys Varsity was on fire and looked impressive on the road in their first game of 2017.

Tonight the boys and girls traveled to Red Oak for a double header in basketball. The boys won 76-39 and the girls lost 59-53.

"Girls battled back from 16 down at the beginning of the 4th quarter to within 2 toward the end of the 4th with a chance to tie. Proud of their effort in the 4th quarter, but we dug ourselves too big of a hole before that." Coach Bowen.

Coach Berke's Recap-The 8th grade boys hosted the Harlan Cyclones last night in the second of a 2-game series, and came away with a 53-44 victory, bringing their season record to 11-0. Early on, it seemed that the Rams had control of the game, taking an early 7-0 lead and leading my as many as 11 in the second quarter.  However, in typical Harlan fashion, the 3-pointers started falling and they managed to cut Glenwood’s lead to only 6 at halftime.
