Carroll Gives Glenwood First Loss

Friday night the ranked Carroll Tigers came to town and defeated the Rams 21-12. Turnovers were key in Carroll's win over the Rams. Glenwood turned the ball over four times (three interceptions and 1 fumble). The game's first score was the most exciting of the night when Senior Mavrick Decker took a punt back 85 yards to put the Rams up 6-0. The Tigers took the lead  7-6 just before halftime behind a one yard run by Rummel. The Rams came out strong in the second half and took the lead back 12-7 after a Jake Clark touchdown from Wilwerding.

It's week three of Friday night lights and the Rams are going up against a top 10 ranked team in Carroll. Carroll is 2-0 on the season so far with wins against South Central Calhoun 56-20 and Sioux City Bishop Heelan 23-20. The tigers are lead by Kolby Molinsky who is the quarterback. Molinsky has thrown for 329 yards on the season and three touchdowns. He has also rushed for a touchdown. Carroll has two good athletes in their backfield with Dayton Ross and Ethan Rummel. Ross has 217 yards on the season with two touchdowns on 8 yards a carry.

Tonight the Glenwood rams defeated Thomas Jefferson 40-6. The Rams and the Yellow Jackets were tied after the first quarter but after that is was all Glenwood.

Former Ram QB Scores In First Game

Former Ram QB Corey Bertini played his first snaps for Missouri Western State last night and Bertini did not disappoint. Bertini now a 6-4, 230 pound quarterback transferred this offseason from Iowa Central to Missouri Western State. Last night Bertini saw his first action at the new school and found his way into the end zone.  Bertini found the end zone in the second quarter vs. Nebraska-Kearney on a eight yard run to put his team up 16-7. Missouri Western State would go on and win the game 44-21 over Kearney.

Way to go Corey, keep it up!
